MonRae Mail #1
Welcome to the first edition of MonRae Mail! We'll be sharing news from the digital world, shining a spotlight on our talent network and giving our best content/random recommendations.
Hello and welcome. Elspeth here Co-founder of MonRae Management along with Bronagh Monahan. Thank you for reading this; we know yet another thing in your inbox can feel like a slog, so we really will aim for this NOT to feel anything but fun and a way of keeping you up to date with everything we and our wonderful talent are doing. Thanks for reading and get in touch if you want to go for a cup of tea!
Kicking off with something we were extremely honoured to work on at the end of 2024, with our long term client DanTDM.
In 2023, Bronagh Monahan, Dan Middleton and I (Elspeth Rae) decided that it would be a great 2024 if we could all do more charity work; if we could use the amazing network we have to help young kids specifically, who might have a hard and lonely time due to illness.
In October, Dan gave £310,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and I was honoured to be asked to join the GOSH Gaming Board. Dan’s gift has been used to buy 120 gaming carts, 50 Xboxes and 50 Switches. (Thanks to Nintendo for your help.) I spent the day with Dan crying for the most part, as we went round the wards and saw the carts in action with poorly kids getting to properly focus on just being joyful.
We’re so proud of Dan and we all can’t wait to do as much as we can to help GOSH more in the future.
Things we’ve got our eye on…
In Spring this year, the supremely talented Julie Lin’s debut cookbook Sama Sama will come out and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. In the meantime, try the recipe below, featured in Delicious magazine, for Prawn Toast Bao. YUM.
Theo, aka Blackpanthaa, tried the new Samsung Galaxy S10 Tab Ultra, streaming Asphalt legends Unite. Let’s just say it took a while, but he had improved a lot by the end of the 2 hour stream ;)
We moved to a new office and kitted it out with Mustard Made - here’s one of our favourite pieces- The Mixer.
Twiggy Jalloh is the Queen of all things luxury and beauty and in 2025 is a member of the MAC UK Crew; she tried the Mac Black 40 lipstick.
We love candidly refreshing women, specifically Anniki Sommerville, who has been writing extensively on the topics of midlife for the modern woman. In this piece for Good Housekeeping, she looks at the film BabyGirl and what sort of reaction it’s getting. As well as warning us NOT to watch it with our parents.
Not content with writing the definitive book on how to survive the world (TommyInnit: The Survival Guide), Tom is taking to the road again in 2025 across the UK, Australia & North America. Half stand-up, half interview with a special guest, this brand new show showcases Tom’s fresh, unique brand of comedy, giving his audience hilarious insights into his weird and wonderful mind.
MonRae clients Cristina Ji and Adrien Raza both worked extensively with Rayban Meta in 2024, making some beautiful and art-led videos whilst wearing the glasses.
Our resident gaming Queen, Yammy, has been a Lego Ambassador for some time now. Watch her build an exotic peacock; harder than it looks!
MonRae talent we think need to be on your radar if they aren’t already.
For the best and most honest beauty recommendations, look no further than Twiggy Jalloh who is a 2025 Mac Crew Ambassador.
Surely North London’s most FAMOUS football team, 5iveGuys are at it again, with their incredible trial series, sponsored by FotMob.
If you’ve not already seen Adrien Raza’s amazing videos on a skimboard in the most surreal locations, where have you been?
Thanks for reading our first Substack! Keep an eye on your inbox for updates, interviews and yet more top talent recommendations.
All the love,
Elspeth & Bronagh x
